Calling all sketch writers, improvisers, and comedy performers—whether you’re a pro or just getting started! Join us for our monthly Writers Room Meet-up, a laid-back, high-energy writers’ room where creativity thrives and laughter rules.

Hosted by Jesse Garson, Sarah Brown Rankin, and Dan Fisher, this monthly meetup is the perfect spot to:
  •  Pitch your wildest sketch ideas.
  •  Share half-baked concepts for feedback.
  •  Collaborate with fellow funny folks to bring sketches to life.
  •  Turn those off-the-wall Jam ideas into polished comedy gold!
Whether you’re Houston-based or just passing through, everyone’s welcome. So grab your notes, bring your boldest ideas, and get ready to crack each other up.

Let’s write some comedy magic together!

  • This event is open to sketch and improv students and performers only. Spectators are not permitted! 
  • Tickets for Jams & Meetups are not available at the door. 
  • You must have a ticket to attend—only 25 spots available each week. 
  • Warm-up starts promptly at 4:00 pm, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early.
  • If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket by emailing [email protected] or texting 832.786.0413.
  • Attendees must be 18+, and all must participate—spectators or guests are not permitted. 
  • A completed Releases & Acknowledgements form and review of the Performer's Bill of Rights are required before attending.
  • Meetups may be canceled on holiday weekends.
All shows are BYOB!  Doors open 10 minutes before showtime.
