Students in level 3 will cultivate group cohesion so they can tap into the improv magic of “group mind.” In level 3, students continue to strengthen character and scene work with an emphasis on performing sets that connect scenes into broader themes and motifs. Students will begin to hone their innate comedic voice as they reconnect with their instincts and tune in to their classmates. This course will set you on the path to performing shows that make the audience ask “Are you SURE you made that all up?” Get weird to get funny by registering for Level 3 today!
Prerequisite: Level 3 at ColdTowne Conservatory
This is an 8 week class plus a showcase performance. Classes run from 5/28-7/16 and take place on Wednesday afternoons from 4-6PM. take place on Showcase performance TBD.
WILL CLEVELAND brings 20 years of theatre experience into his classes. He has served as Artistic Director of ColdTowne since 2016 and trained in improv and sketch writing at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He wrote and produced works for UCBComedy.com as well as produced for Above Average, Funny or Die, Official Comedy and more. His show “One Hour Til Air” (dir. by Chris McKeever) received the B. Iden Payne award for best Improv Cast in 2019 and his Improv Duo with Anthony Ellison (Tony&Billy) received the B. Iden Award for best non-resident improv team in 2023.
