The "heat death" of improv comedy, aka the "Big Freeze" of laughs, is the theory that suggests improv will reach a state of no creative energy - where the jokes just stop coming. Improv comedy relies on quick wit and interaction, but imagine a scenario where all those sparks of humor just...fizzle out. No highs, no lows, just a flat-line of "meh". Essentially, when improv comedy hits the Big Freeze, it has reached creative equilibrium -- no more punchlines left to land.
Fortunately, Until the Heat Death of the Universe keeps going up until right before that moment, flying through the comedy space, shining even brighter than the final supernovas we alluded to earlier. All this to say, IT'S A GOOD & FUNNY SHOW!!
There is ample free and paid parking on Edgewood Avenue. Please plan to arrive early if you don't know the area. Online ticket sales cut off approximately one hour before showtime. Doors open 15 minutes prior to show start time, unless otherwise noted. Tickets may be available for purchase at the door, depending on capacity. Due to the nature of our performances all show are "18 and over" unless otherwise noted. Show schedules and lineups are subject to change. Ticket reservations will be released at the scheduled show start time and may be redistributed. Currently registered students may see shows for free on a stand-by basis if seats are available. All sales are final. In the event that you are unable to attend a performance that you have tickets for, you can exchange your ticket for another upcoming event or receive a credit towards a future order. All exchanges or credit requests must be sent to [email protected] at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time for the show. All other requests will be not be considered.
