In Level 2, students will strengthen their characters and scene work, and learn how to perform a fully improvised show. Students will deepen their characters and sustain a scene by playing comedic games and building a rich, improvised world. As students gain the ability to sustain improvised scenes, they will learn how to knit these scenes together into a longform improv set.
Prerequisite: Level 1at ColdTowne Conservatory. No students new to ColdTowne may begin at this level unless they have graduated iO or UCB.
TIANA STUART (she/her) is an actor, improvisor, musician, writer, and director. Tiana lived in Amsterdam, NL, where she studied long-form improv at the world-renowned Boom Chicago taught by Michael Orton-Toliver (Boom Chicago AMS; The Free Association, LDN). She then moved back to the U.S. where she graduated from Coldtowne's conservatory program in 2022. Tiana co-wrote and directed a multiple award-winning short film, co-produced The Lysistrata Women's Comedy Festival, and sang/acted in HBO's "Love and Death" as well as Richard Linklater's "Merrily We Roll Along." You can catch her performing regularly with her band, Hallo. She is represented by the Zephyr Talent Agency.
This is an 8 week class plus a showcase performance. Classes run from 5/29-7/17. Showcase date is TBD.
