Description
Improv: improv, is a form of live theatre where everything is made up on the spot. Think of shows like, "Whose Line Is It Anyway." Improv is spontaneous, entertaining, and fun. Students will learn basic improv skills like agreement, story telling and character development. (grades K-12)

Acting: students will learn the same acting techniques that the professional performers use when preparing for a role. They will then use those skills to memorize small pieces of dialogue from family friendly published plays and Broadway hits. (grades K-12)

Musical Theater: students will be tasked with memorizing songs and musical dance numbers from their favorite Disney/Pixar movie or Broadway musical. (grades K-6)

Students will meet one time per week for 60 minutes (acting/improv) and/or 90 minutes (musical theatre) at our theatre in South Philly: 1935 E. Passyunk Avenue.

Session 0 starts June 16th with scenes and songs from the hit Broadway musical "Matilda".

Students will have a blast showing off their newly found theatrical skills during our end of session showcase. Family and friends are invited to attend and enjoy.
