Sundays just got a little gayer! 'The Queer Jam is a new monthly improv show and jam celebrating the LGBTQ+ and queer community, taking over the Sunday Jam, every second Sunday at 5p.

 
The evening begins with a set from a rotating cast of queer performers, followed by an open jam for (queer only!) improvisers of all levels. Come play, meet people, try stuff, and make some weird little comedy together. Allies are welcome to watch and support from the audience.

Can't make it this time? Catch us every month -- second Sundays (replacing the Jam). Anyone planning on jamming can reserve a ticket for free!

1. What does “queer-only” mean?
It means the performers on stage is only for people who identify as queer. If that’s you and you want to be in the jam, come! 

2. Can straights come to the show?
Yes! We welcome all audience members. Just know that the stage belongs to the queer community. Sit back, laugh, and support some dope comedy.

3. Can I perform in a future show?
If you identify as queer and you’re interested in bringing the funny, come by and put your name in the bucket for the jam portion! That's stage time for you! If you're interested in other ways to perform, let’s talk! Each month will feature an improv set from experienced improvisers in the area, plus sometimes even a stand-up or storyteller! 

4. Should I get tickets in advance?
YES. The show may sell out and that's the only way to guarantee space.

5. Is the venue accessible?
Our venue is accessible! There are no stairs, and the first couple of rows are on the floor with movable chairs. The bathroom (yes, singular) is on the same level and accessible to anyone who needs it.

6. Will there be content warnings?
It’s improv comedy—so there's no script. We try to keep things safe and fun for everyone in the room, however because it is all made up on the spot you can expect some adult language and themes, or at least a high probability. If any show includes anything that might need a more specific heads-up (e.g., sensitive topics or flashing light show), we’ll post about it in advance.
