Third Space Improv Hosts Stand Up Comedy with Rich Talarico - a 6-week online course.
The primary aim of this six-week class is to guide students in developing their own five-minute stand-up comedy sets. By the end of the course, students will have the skills and confidence to perform their material in front of an audience.
The class highlights stand up history, styles, and famous comedians. Students will develop an understanding of joke writing, comedic timing, and delivery. Writing exercises will be used to help students discover their unique comic perspectives. Together, the students will brainstorm, generate and develop material. The weekly feedback will lead to the final class which will be used for polishing, stage presence, body language, and delivery.
