Through the use of both solo writing assignments as well as collaborative group exercises students will further explore styles, genres, and other deeper mechanics of comedy writing in this course. This class is designed to help writers find their voice and help students learn to connect their sketches into a cohesive show. After writing for 8 weeks students will create a first draft style of a show to produce on Fallout's stage.

The course will be held at Fallout Theater, located at 616 Lavaca St in downtown Austin, and will consist of 8 weekly classes on Mondays from 6:30pm-8:30pm and a class show for your friends and family. Students who complete Sketch 201 are eligible to enroll in Sketch 301 and audition for Fallout Theater's house sketch comedy team.
