FINDING A CHARACTER with Laurel Krabacher
Learning how to find and live in a character can make improv feel easy. You can create a three dimensional character in minutes if you get into your body and out of your head. If a character is fully realized you will never run out of places to take them and you will end up with a show that feels complete as opposed to a series of disconnected scenes.
LAUREL KRABACHER has been working in the Chicago comedy scene for the last ten years. She got her first job writing and performing for The Mission Theater directed by TJ and Dave. At Second City she was a member of the national touring company for three years. She then wrote and performed in five sketch revues at Second City Chicago. She is currently a director for the Second City touring company as well as a teacher at Logan Square improv- where she performs with her favorite team, Real Angels! She has appeared on Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Easy, and The Bear.
