Explore intimacy, vulnerability, and truth in improv! In this advanced class, students will practice open and direct communication, develop trust, learn what to do when things go south, and how to utilize comedic tension—all while taking care of ourselves and one another in a courageous and vulnerable creative space.
Each class will be split between work and play. Get ready to work hard and play hard!
The class will cluminate in three performances of the Living Room at Curious Comedy Theater.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Skel Harrington
Skel and Improv Comedy met in 2010 at a small intro class. Since then, Skel has performed short form and long form in states across the USA, improvising on formats based on everything from card games to Ken Burns documentaries. Their improv superpowers are all-out-enthusiasm, whimsical goofitude, and musical improv (which is their very favorite both to perform, teach, and produce.) They believe in improv as a craft that helps us bring out the best in ourselves, celebrate one another, and make the world a better place with new and better stories—together.
When not at Curious, Skel lives in a house at the end of a rainbow sidewalk, that they share with their wife and a much-aggrieved black sphynx named ’Mo.
ATTENTION:
*This unique class explores vulnerable connection in an improv setting. As such, any student who intentionally makes other students uncomfortable or has (potentially through no fault of their own) exhibited behavior that has made fellow students uncomfortable in the past— may be denied registration or asked to leave the class. In the event of this occurrence, the student in question will be offered a full refund.
Class minimum is 6 people. Class maximum is 12 people.
