Step right up and get yer Short Form AND Long Form, right here!
Short Form includes games like to you might see on T.V. or YouTube. Quick, funny, classics that improvisers use to entertain like "Lines from a Hat" or "Party Quirks." There are hundreds of games (and we've been known to make up a few of our own). In this class, you'll get familiar with many that we use in our Flying Pig Improv shows.
Additionally, there's a less familiar segment of improv called Long Form. Some call it Slow Improv. We get a suggestion from the audience (or not) and begin a scene. We don't know who or where we are, we don't know what will happen; it unfolds like a pop-up book and we discover everything we need to know by living in the moment with our partners. This is the stuff that players geek out on.
It sounds like a lot but don't be afraid. We'll take you through it step by step each week. It's fun right off the bat and the more you do, the easier it gets.
We're asking you to register for your first class. Then, it's a drop-in. For best results, come as consistently as you can for as long as you want. Just join us for the most unusual and unexpected experience at Flying Pig Improv:
