Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy and meet cool new people in the process in Level 1! This course is designed to help students unlock their inner creativity in a fun, silly, and supportive environment. Whether you want to become a better writer/actor/performer, or you just want to improve your self awareness, communication, and relational skills, level 1 improv will build your confidence both on-stage and off. This class will teach you how to celebrate who you are through honesty, spontaneity, playfulness, and saying “yes, and.”

SUNNY HUANG is a seasoned actor and performer who’s been improvising for over 10 years. She graduated from the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, where she was a member of the house team Bordeaux. Sunny’s improv teams have been selected for and performed at the Del Close Marathon, SF Sketch Fest, Out of Bounds, Last Best Comedy Fest, and recently headlined the Lysistrata Comedy Festival. Currently, you can catch her making audiences laugh with her various teams Come@Me (Saturdays, Fallout Theater) and Y’all We Asian, which has won Austin Chronicle’s “Best Of Austin” and B.Iden Payne awards (first Fridays of the month, Fallout Theater).

This is an 8 week class plus a showcase performance. Classes run from 7/7-8/25 and take place on Monday nights from 6-8pm. Showcase date is TBD.
