Get your feet wet by finding the fun in the spontaneity and collaboration of improvisation. Whether you’re looking for a fun way to improve your teamwork and communication skills or are serious about developing your voice as a comedic performer, this class equally honors both of these goals (and might even push you to expand those goals). Students will learn the power of agreement, honesty, and spontaneity to build a successful scene and have fun doing it.

*Kickstand's improv track is a four-level program followed by Advanced Study, where students can learn and apply their skills to different formats. Each week of class builds on the previous one, and each Level builds on the Level before. 

*This Level 1 includes 6 weeks of instruction with 2.5 hours of instruction each week.

ABOUT MICHAEL ZIMMER

Michael Zimmer is an actor, writer, sketch comedian, and improviser born and raised in Portland, OR. His first improv class was at Northwest Children's Theater around 2000, and he continued his training 12 years later at the UCB in NYC. He found the Kickstand community in 2016 and has been performing and creating shows ever since. He currently produces the improv show "The Big One," performs with his improv team "Fuckos," and tours his two person sketch show "Dog People." He makes an appearance in the final season of Aidy Bryant's Hulu show "Shrill" as George in a very NSFW episode. Find all his stuff on michaelzimmer.net
