Krakin Jokes is the legendary comedy series that started it all. It sprang up from the collective unconscious like a weed and spread like wildfire, taking over the hearts and minds of Athenians. Featuring hometown-hero comedians alongside visiting greats, plus a few bucket spots for the lucky audience members brave enough to take the stage. Come for the laughs, stay for the community.

Krakin started as a backyard comedy show on Habersham Drive in 2015, got featured in multiple documentaries about the creative hijinks around town, and became the launching pad for more than a few comedy careers in the Athens and Atlanta scene. It ran for 25 iterations and 5 years until we stopped counting and the county shut us down. These days it lives at Flying Squid Comedy — the natural evolution of the Krakin Jokes showcase — all grown up and gone legit.

Now we've got a real venue and nobody's waking up to a bar in their bedroom, a bunch of mangy dogs, or a pile of drunk people asleep on the floor. The spark is still there, and the comedy is a lot better. Trust us.
