Description
Our "Mini Cycle" runs Tuesday nights, from July 29th - August 19th! Join us for FOUR, two-hour classes with students from intermediate and advanced levels of play
NEW FOR THIS YEAR! This combined class is geared to mix students from all intermediate and advanced levels of play.
WHEN: TUESDAY nights, 7-9pm beginning July 29th COST: $200 + platform fees AGES: Suitable for ages 15+ PREREQUISITES: Completed our Foundations level class and been recommended to move on by Mart Pat, Natasha or David.
This short series focuses on some of the basics of intermediate and advanced improv:
Creating & maintaining characters
Core acting skills to anchor our improv
Re-learning or perfecting edits
Identifying story beats and story structure
AS ALWAYS, CLASSES ARE CAPPED AT 10 PARTICIPANTS
All students will receive:
A safe, nurturing, and supportive environment
10 students max per class so each gets lots of attention
Although not for this mini-cycle, we offer flexible class options so students can purchase the number of classes that suits their schedule
Coaching and check-ins during & after each game to help make sure you've understood the breakthroughs
Blackboard discussions during class when necessary to help visual and analytical learners
Closing every class with students recognizing their own wins
15-30min virtual sit downs with David at the end of class. These sessions include a written summary of our conversation as well. We'll celebrate your progress & recommend next steps to pursue when you come back for another class with us
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: David Koff is the Founder of Change Through Play and has been a professional actor and improviser for 30 years. He's used improvisation to help train actors, business leaders, educators, and recovering addicts.
