Description
Our improv jam is a chance for folks of any level of experience to improvise together and put on a show, or to just come watch a show! Here is how our improv jam works:
- Everyone who wants to participate drops their names in a jar.
- The host gives a brief explanation of what improv is and lays out the ground rules of the jam.
- We do a quick warm-up as a group.
- We play a few short-form improv games where we explain the rules of the games and then draw random names to play the games.
- We run a few improvised long-form two-person scenes, with the host randomly selecting two names from the jar for each scene. We will provide scenarios for the scene so you're not flying blind. Each scene is about 2 minutes long.
- We do a set (or multiple, depending on the number of participants) consisting of a montage of scenes.
- The entire jam will last about ninety minutes.
We mean it when we say that performers at any level of experience are invited to participate! This is a great opportunity to get familiar with our community and to meet new people! Sign up to take part in the jam or to just watch!
Unless otherwise indicated in the show description, doors and bar open one hour prior to showtime for most shows. Out of respect for other show guests, please arrive at the theater no later than 15 minutes prior to showtime. The doors may be closed to late arrivals.
- Online ticket sales close ~60 minutes prior to the start of the show. After that time, tickets can be purchased at the box office, if available. Ticket purchases are final.
- Your tickets are general admission, and we seat on a first-come, first-seated basis. Don't hesitate to contact us for reservations, particularly if you have a larger group.
- All purchases are final.
- There may be an additional charge at the door for some performances, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets online.
- No drink minimums!
- The theater is an 18+ club, although younger, accompanied guests are welcome. Though we generally hover around a PG-13 rating, please be advised that most of our content is improvised and set your expectations accordingly. We do have family-friendly options, as well!
- By your attendance at a show, you agree to our terms and conditions.
- Any processing fees go directly to our ticket processing provider. We do NOT take a portion of the fee for ourselves.
