Improv Horror Bootcamp

Thu, October 16, 2025 @ 6:30 PM CDT • Multiple prices

Description
Chills! Thrills!! Spills(of blood)!!!

This October dive head first into the art of Improvised Horror! Learn how to build suspension and atmosphere, embody ghoulish creatures and monsters, and play into all the classic horror movie tropes. Learn from a collective of talented improvisers who love the horror genre and experience what it’s like to be directed in a narrative improv show. At the end of it all, show off your horrific new skills at a night of narrative horror improv at The Others Workshop Collective.

Over the course of this bootcamp, participants will build their skills in scene painting, embodying strong characters, identifying and playing narrative beats and tropes, and embracing strange and spooky physicality. This bootcamp is recommended for improvisers who have completed VGI's 301 level class, or have equivalent experience elsewhere.

Improv Horror Bootcamp takes place over four consecutive days, with a total of five sessions and one public showcase at the end the class. It is recommended that participants be able to attend all five sessions and the final showcase. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to VGI.
