Improv for Fun 2: Fundamentals

Wednesday, Apr 22, 2026 @ 6:00 PM EDT • Multiple prices

Description
Ready to take your "yes, and" from a great response to a great scene? We will keep playing fun short-form games and focus on the essential building blocks of longer, more satisfying scene work. This is where you challenge yourself to grow beyond the basics in a safe, fun environment.

You'll learn to stop thinking about the next joke and start focusing on the relationships and real emotions that make comedy land. We will focus on:
  • Deepening Characters: Making specific choices about who you are and what you want.
  • Creating the Reality: Using environment and object work to anchor your scene.
  • Following the Fun: Identifying the central comedic idea, or "game," and playing it to its maximum potential.
More than just a class, this is a chance to connect with other adults and continue building the supportive, hilarious community you started in Level 1, though you may join this class with no previous experience. Get more time on your feet, transform your foundation into confident, collaborative, and memorable scenes, and find your people!
