IMPROV COMEDY from Dear Evan Jamsey (Greenville), Drama Queens (Charlotte), The Mothers (Columbia), and Gritty Reboot (Charlotte)

This show features 4 improv comedy sets from across the country: Dear Evan Jamsey (Greenville), Drama Queens (Charlotte), The Mothers (Columbia), and Gritty Reboot (Charlotte)

Dear Evan Jamsen is a musical improv team born from the wonderfully unpredictable world of Alchemy Comedy Theater. We combine quick-witted comedy, completely improvised storytelling, and the magic of a live band to create a brand-new musical right before your eyes. Every character, song, lyric, and plot twist is created on the spot—inspired by suggestions from you, the audience. From soaring showstoppers and heartfelt ballads to ridiculous dance breaks and questionable rhymes, no two performances will ever be the same.

Drama Queens is a Queen City Comedy’s travel team featuring standout talent from Dingle Drama Repertory Company, Pillow Talk Improv, and Neighborhood Improv. Known for bold, grounded, big-energy performances, this ensemble blends strong acting technique with fearless improvisation to create emotionally connected, story-driven work. Expect vivid characters, dynamic relationships, and scenes that build with intention—balancing humor and heart while delivering shows that feel both immediate and fully realized.

The Mothers has been producing original sketch and their famously-hot flavor of improv comedy at Trustus Theatre in Columbia for over a decade, bringing affordable live comedy to the heart of the Palmetto State. Made up of performers trained at improv programs in New York, Chicago, and beyond—alongside homegrown talent from Clemson and the University of South Carolina—this company has been voted Free Times’ Best of Columbia for seven straight seasons!

Gritty Reboot is a monoscene team that performs a hilarious one-scene show, fully improvised in real time, right before your eyes! This one-act play will feature a location and characters inspired by your suggestions. We have no idea who we'll be or where the story will take us, so come out and enjoy the fun in this one-act play made up on the spot just for you!
