Description
In Improv 201: Playing the Scene, you'll continue your comedy education by learning more tools for effective scene work and character development. With guided support, you'll further develop your ability to identify and heighten the comedic game of the scene. Using fun team-building exercises, you will become more comfortable with the ins-and-outs of improvised scene work and how to use your new skills to your advantage on stage.

The course will be held at Fallout Theater, located at 616 Lavaca St in downtown Austin, and will consist of 8 weekly classes on Mondays from 6:30pm-8:30pm and a class show for your friends and family. Students who complete Improv 201 are eligible to enroll in Improv 301.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

He went on to found his high school’s improv troupe and continued performing at Baylor University with the student-run Guerrilla Troupe. After moving to Austin, Brian became a non-stop performer with notable groups including Those Who Dare, Pack Rat, Nasty Jasmine, The Manhattan Project, Patricia, and after hours. Most recently, he was part of the inaugural graduating class of UCB Austin. With more than half of his life spent in improv, Brian is dedicated to creating a playful and safe environment that encourages risk-taking, friend-making, and confidence-building.
