Description
In this workshop, students will learn the basics of creating a hip hop improv scene. We will dive into various styles of flow and work various aspects of our rhyming brains. There will be exercises to introduce students to rhyming structure, story progression through rapping and more. The workshop will end with scenes that lead into rap.


About your instructor:

RJ Williams teaches long-form and hip-hop improv at The Second City New York and has performed and taught across the U.S. and Europe. He performs with Baby Wants Candy, Shamilton, and North Coast Improv, traveling annually to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the first two ensembles. Along the way, RJ has taught at theaters nationwide, including Misfit Improv in Asheville and Fallout Theater in Austin.
