NCT's Code of Conduct & Waiver • The Neighborhood Comedy Theatre is committed to a creative, safe environment for everyone — students, performers, staff, and patrons. We treat everyone with respect and do not tolerate discrimination or harassment. By checking this box, I acknowledge that I have read the policies below and agree to follow them.

This is a required field

What constitutes harassment? • Harassment is UNWELCOME CONDUCT — conduct the other person did not want, request, or invite — including conduct based on a legally protected class. It crosses the line when: ▪ ENDURING IT becomes a condition of continued participation with NCT, or ▪ IT IS SEVERE OR PERVASIVE enough that a reasonable person would find it intimidating, hostile, or abusive. By checking this box, I acknowledge NCT's definition of harassment.

This is a required field

How to avoid discrimination and harassment • Be professional — "Yes, And" does not mean "anything goes." ▪ KEEP IT CLEAN — don't assume everyone shares your tolerance for language or blue humor. ▪ CONSENT FIRST — never grab, pick up, or handle another person on stage without their verbal consent. ▪ BE AWARE — if someone shows discomfort with your bit, STOP immediately and apologize. By checking this box, I agree to follow these guidelines.

This is a required field

What to do if you experience harassment • If you experience or witness misconduct: ▪ SAY SOMETHING if you feel comfortable — a simple "I do not feel comfortable" stops many issues. ▪ TELL US — contact your workshop teacher or NCT Directors Dorian or Krissy Lenz. ▪ GO INDEPENDENT — call our HR partner, HR Wise, at (855) 353-1035 to file a grievance. By checking this box, I know how to report misconduct.

This is a required field

Sober, Healthy & Ready to Participate • I agree to arrive at all NCT classes, jams, and shows SOBER, HEALTHY, and READY TO PARTICIPATE. I will not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs — this is for the safety of all participants. I understand that failure to meet this expectation will result in immediate suspension and possible removal from classes, jams, or shows without a refund.

Waiver of Liability • ▪ I RELEASE Phoenix Improv LLC DBA Neighborhood Comedy Theatre (NCT) from all liability for injuries that may occur during workshop participation, even if caused by negligence. ▪ I ACCEPT THE RISKS of improv workshops and classes, am participating voluntarily, and have no conditions that increase my likelihood of injury. ▪ I WAIVE all right to bring suit against Phoenix Improv LLC; in return, I receive participation in improv workshops and classes. ▪ I WILL FOLLOW all safety precautions, written and verbal, and ask for clarification when needed. Checking this box acts as my agreement to these terms.
