In order to give you a more-welcoming onramp to our drop-in workshops, we have four prerequisite Intro to Improv workshops. The Intro to Improv workshops can be taken in any order. If you’re interested in getting started FAST, we have a weekly Michael and Me workshop as well as Improv Jams that do not require any prerequisites to participate.


This one-hour BEGINNER workshop focuses on practicing the basic principals of improv: confidence, listening, agreeing, and creating. Though this class is an excellent starting point for beginners, improvisers of any skill level can always use this class to brush up on their fundamental improv skills. Because our classes are limited to an hour, all of our classes are fast-paced, so prepare to have a quick warmup and then to hit the ground running!

This workshop is best for:

  1. Folks who have never tried improv
  2. Improvisers who want to brush up on their fundamentals so they don't get rusty
  3. The "funny person" in the office
If you plan on attending multiple classes each month, consider signing up for a membership, which has added benefits (including participation in our Student Improv Showcase) and discounted class rates.
  • Class Policies: Registration is final and non-refundable. Classes require minimum enrollment; full refunds are issued if canceled.
  • Arrival: Space opens at least 15 minutes prior to class. If running late, please enter quietly.

  • Minimum Requirements: Workshops require a minimum number of participants to run. If a date does not meet the minimum twenty-four hours prior to the workshop, your class credit will be refunded or automatically restored to your account to use for a future date at your choice.
