First choices on stage are often the most purely improvised moments of any scene.  There is so much potential in the beginning of a scene and yet we don’t mine the gold of that moment nearly enough.  In this workshop we will explore a series of dynamic methods for starting a scene that will give you both more tools and more freedom at the tops of your scenes.

DAVE HILL (from Los Angeles, in Hill Jones) has taught and coached at the iO Chicago, iO West, UCB LA, Second City LA, and all around the country and world.  He is a 4 time winner of the Del Close award for Coach of the Year and a 2 time winner of the Del Close Award for Teacher of the Year at the iO West (RIP).  He is one of the founders of RPG Improv with Amy Vorpahl and Douglas Sarine (find us on Instagram @improv4rpgs ).  He is very excited to be back in Austin!
