In this advanced improvisation workshop, you'll learn how to "de-egoize"—get outside of your head—and embrace the power of ensemble work. In this session we will let loose with goofy spontenaity. We'll also explore using the space, committing to environment, and finessing object work, eventually diving into scene work with no pressure for a punchline. We'll also touch on essential improv etiquette to ensure a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

Lisa Mende is a character actor best known for her recurring role on Seinfeld. She's run the gamut from Bill Murray's mother in Scrooged to the Brazilian bikini waxer in Sex and the City. She was part of the critically acclaimed improv group The Broadway Local with Michael Patrick King and Dom Irrera in New York City.

For all our classes, please wear clothes and shoes you are comfortable moving around in and arrive 5-10 minutes early ready to start.
