THE CURIOUS COMEDY BIPOC PROGRAM

Through our BIPOC program, Curious offers the first THREE LEVELS of our Improv Student Journey to enable ease of access and welcome Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, and all people of color to come together, to learn about improv, and to share joy in community.

All Levels are pay-what-you-will. Each class consists of 7 classes and a showcase, and is offered twice a year. All instructors and students in the program are self-identifying members of the BIPOC community. BIPOC students are welcome to register for available classes at any time.

BIPOC LEVEL 1 - Is an intro to improv fundamentals and techniques.
  •  No experience is required to take this LEVEL. If you are a BIPOC student who has not taken a class at Curious before, this is the place to start in the BIPOC program.
BIPOC LEVEL 2 - Is an intro to scene work with a focus on story and collaboration.
  •  Curious LEVEL 1 is required experience for LEVEL 2.
BIPOC LEVEL 3 - Is a skill-focus series, on the tools Objective and Relationship.
  •  Curious LEVEL 2 is required experience for LEVEL 3.

Students are welcome to take BIPOC classes more than once. These classes do fill up quickly, so we ask that if your availability changes and you need to drop the course, to please let us know, so that we can re-open that spot on the roster for other potential registrants.

Students who have taken BIPOC LEVEL 3 qualify to continue their education with Curious LEVEL 4 - Character and Environment
