Get your feet wet by finding the fun in the spontaneity and collaboration of improvisation. Whether you’re looking for a fun way to improve your teamwork and communication skills or are serious about developing your voice as a comedic performer, this class equally honors both of these goals (and might even push you to expand those goals). Students will learn the power of agreement, honesty, and spontaneity to build a successful scene and have fun doing it!

ABOUT TABY AMMARI
She/Her
Taby is a California-born, Portland-based improviser who occasionally dips her toes into stand-up comedy. Having earned a BA in film-making, and working on programs such as Conan, The Pete Holmes Show, and HBO’s Crashing, storytelling through comedy has always been a motivation of hers. With a background in education as well, teaching improv is a melding of her professional experiences. Her goal is to help students find the funny while maintaining their authenticity. You can catch her performing with Ooh Lala, S.L.O.P, or at Kickstand’s Harold Night.  

In the event that she isn’t doing something related to improv, she is likely playing soccer, at the movies, traveling, or having deep, meaningful conversations with her dog, Buddy.
