Never done improv and want to give it a shot? Not sure that you’re ready to jump into a full level 1 class? Want to try a fun new thing and think maybe improv is right for you?
Take our Beginners' Improv Drop-In!
These 90-minute drop-in workshops offer a taste of the exciting lessons from our Level 1 improv class. During the Beginners' Drop-In, you'll explore key improv concepts like yes-and, spontaneity, and creative collaboration. You'll even try your hand at improvised scene work, guaranteed to bring laughter and fun.
These workshops cater to everyone - whether you want to boost your improvisation skills, gain confidence in public speaking, try something new, meet new people, or simply have fun for an hour or so. This class is designed for people who have never done improv before, so don’t feel like you need any previous expertise!
There is a $10 fee to hold your place in a Drop-In - but! If you show up, we’ll send you a BOGO to see a show and a discount off a future level 1 class. So it’s worth it to give it a shot! Why not come play for 90 minutes?

- Please wear comfortable clothes appropriate for light physical activity. The only thing you need to bring to class is a willingness to be brave and participate. And maybe a water bottle.
- By your participation in a class or workshop, you agree to our terms and conditions.
- All classes and workshops at What If Theatre are contingent on a minimum number of student registrations (usually 6).
