Be More Idiot is a clown workshop for performers who want to get out of their heads, connect with an audience, and find freedom on stage. See what happens when you let go of trying to make sense, be smart, say interesting things, or even be funny. Stepping into the unknown, we’ll see what hilarity you can discover.

Through guaranteed failure, this work will challenge you to discover sensitivity, beauty, and humanity as you flop. Designed for amateurs and professionals alike, the class will use “le Jeu” (clown theatrical games) to introduce you to foundational tools such as fixed point, eye contact, silence, and major/minor. From there, we will explore costumes, characters, and number building.

Led by award-winning performer and director Chase Brantley (Graduate of Ecole Philippe Gaulier), this course is perfect for actors, improvisers, and anyone curious about the power of presence and play.
