BAMFEST is a comedy show inspired by Maria Bamford’s fearless honesty, packing in big comedic swerves, strange characters and a whole lot of wonderfully weird performers turning vulnerability, anxiety, family dysfunction, neurodivergence, and the absurdity of being human into something hilarious. 

Free diet coke and doughnuts will be served in honor of Maria’s birthday, the day before BAMFEST. 

Hosted by Ash Allen, a Portland comedian, storyteller, and Maria Bamford evangelist, Ash is a multiple Moth StorySLAM winner, a 2026 Willamette Week Funniest Five finalist, and was voted 2025 Best of Portland Comics.

Arlo Weirerhauser, a dynamic, high-energy force in comedy who can't be contained by a single label. A former Helium Comedy Club's Portland’s Funniest Person (2017) and Willamette Week's Funniest Person (2016), Arlo quickly transcended the local scene to make their national television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. @arlo.c.w

Virginia Jones, a comic who has been on Portlandia, CNN’s History of Comedy, and an Australian tap dance commercial. She has opened for Maria Bamford, Jackie Kashian and Kevin McDonald. She is also the co-host of the podcast My Sister’s A Therapist, which was recently ranked in the top 100 of podcasts hosted by sisters. @badinia

Laughs for All: As part of our mission towards access to comedy, we offer 10% of tickets at a discounted rate to make it more affordable for those who otherwise would not be able to attend. These tickets are first come, first served, so we recommend buying them online ahead of time, and any remaining will be sold at the door.

  • Doors open 30 minutes prior to listed show time.
  • Online sales close on the day of the show.
  • Unclaimed tickets will be released to standby line 10 minutes after listed show time.
  • All prices include ticketing platform and credit card processing fees.

  • All sales are final and no refunds are permitted. 
  • If you are more than 10 minutes late to your show, your ticket may be released and there will be no refund.
  • If you are inebriated, heckling, or causing any disruption, you’ll be asked to leave the theater and will not receive a refund.
  • All times listed in PST.
  • Shows starting before 9pm are all ages. Shows beginning at 9pm or later are restricted to ages 21+.
  • Kickstand is ADA accessible and provides floor level seating. If you require space for a mobility device, you may email us at [email protected] ahead of time so we may prepare and reserve a space for you, or you can let the box office know at check in.
