Saturday, Jan 10, 2026 @ 3:00 PM EST • Free

Description
Sign up here to audition for our advanced Improv Performance lab starting January 17th at Noon.  PLEASE BRING A PHOTO AND RESUME IF POSSIBLE
You will be run through a series of improv games and scenes. If selected, you will be given a link to sign up for the 8-week training session. Course cost is $275.  Class participants will have first dibs and spots in the ensemble. Final ensemble selection is at the discretion of the instructors. But if you pass this audition and show up to class regularly and participate, there's no real reason you won't make the ensemble. The ensemble will perform regularly. This could be once a month or more. The exact schedule is to be determined. You don't have to be available for every show. But you will be expected to attend the rehearsal before that week's show to be considered for the cast. Rehearsals will be Saturday afternoons or Sunday evenings. TBD.  As the group gels, fewer rehearsals may be needed. Below is a description of the topics that will be covered in the class.

Taught by a veteran improviser with over 30 years of stage experience, this 8-week course builds the fundamentals and mechanics needed to play with confidence, precision, and polish.

You’ll learn how to break down and execute a wide range of improv structures— focusing on classic short-form games as well as long-form montage play. We’ll drill the mechanics, timing, energy, and support moves that take a show to a professional level worthy of a paying audience.  Through repetition, side coaching, and detailed, honest feedback, you’ll sharpen your scene setups, audience engagement, suggestion-getting, and strategies for handling tricky crowd moments.

Each week, you'll strengthen your performance toolkit so you can maximize the funny, elevate your choices, and look like a real pro onstage. Students who complete the course will also be considered for the Dynamic El Dorado house ensemble, performing several times a month.

Admission is by audition only. Accepted players will train from January 17th–March 7th, followed by ensemble selection and show launch.
