Welcome to Improv Boulder's Level 201 class! Building on our 101 curriculum, you will learn how to create interesting characters, polish your 2-person scene work, grasp the fundamentals of pattern building, receive an introduction to UCB-style "game," and perform believable object work. Taught by long-time improviser and level 101 instructor, Ian Gibbs, this promises to be a fun learning experience!
The class meets on Tuesdays from 7 to 9:30 pm, for 7 weeks starting Tuesday, January 7th through February 18th, 2025, with a subsequent showcase performance date TBD. The classes will be held at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder.

A little bit about Ian . . . Ian Gibbs has been performing and teaching Improv Comedy for the last 25 years. He did a 2-year theater program at Circle in the Square in NYC and has trained with Second City NY, The Upright Citizens Brigade, and the Groundlings. He has studied improv with Armando Diaz, Joe Bill, Micheal Gelman, Sean Conroy, Kevin Kirkpatrick, and many more. He currently lives in Boulder, CO where he performs regularly with The Front DeRanged Improv Comedy Troupe, Improv Boulder House team - Welcome to the Dojo, and the Chaos Bloom Mainstage Players in Denver.
